Privacy Policy

Effective date: 12 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Upskilo collects, uses and shares information when you use upskilo.com and the Upskilo Android app (com.bionic.upskilo). Upskilo provides online courses, digital products, instructor services, consultations and community features. For privacy questions, contact admin@upskilo.com.

Information we collect

  • Account and profile information: your name, email address, password (stored as a hash), account identifier, and phone number when provided. Profile features can also store your photo, biography, gender and professional details.
  • Address information: if you use the address or instructor-location features, we store the country, state, city, postal code, address and map coordinates you submit. Instructor location information may appear in instructor discovery features.
  • Learning and purchase records: course enrolments, lesson progress, quiz and assignment submissions, certificates, wishlists, orders, payments, refunds and account-credit transactions.
  • Content you submit: reviews, forum posts, comments, messages, support requests and attachments, and any courses, videos, digital products or professional documents you upload as an instructor.
  • Payment and payout details: information needed to process a purchase or instructor payout, including transaction references and any billing or bank details you submit. Payment providers handle information entered into their payment interfaces under their own privacy policies.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, session identifiers, access times and operational logs used to run the service and protect accounts. Cookies and similar storage keep you signed in and remember service preferences.

How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts; deliver courses and digital products; track learning progress; arrange consultations; process purchases, refunds and instructor payouts; display profiles and community contributions; answer support requests; send service messages; prevent abuse; troubleshoot problems; and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Optional features require the information needed for that feature; you can browse public content without creating an account.

When information is shared

Information is processed by service providers that support hosting, content and video delivery, email, payments and other features you choose to use. For example, external video players and social sign-in providers receive technical information when you use their services. If you choose Google, Facebook or Twitter sign-in, the provider shares the account information permitted through that sign-in flow.

Instructors receive information needed to deliver the courses or consultations you select. Public profiles, reviews, forum posts and other content marked public can be seen by other users and visitors. Messages and support submissions are available to their recipients and authorized support personnel. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Android permissions and external services

The current Android app loads Upskilo over an internet connection. Its declared Android permission is internet access. Information you enter or upload within the website is still collected as described above. Opening an external payment, video, meeting or sign-in service may bring you under that service's privacy practices. Review its notices before providing information.

Storage, security and retention

Upskilo uses HTTPS for its app connection and hashes account passwords. Access to account information is limited to the people and service providers who need it to operate the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Account and learning records are kept while needed to provide your account and purchased services. Following a verified deletion request, associated personal data is deleted or anonymized unless needed for outstanding transactions, fraud prevention, security, disputes or legal record-keeping. Any retained records are limited to those purposes and kept only as long as required. Backup copies may remain until replaced through the backup cycle. Ask us about the retention applicable to your account when requesting deletion.

Request account and data deletion

You can request deletion without reinstalling the app. Email admin@upskilo.com from the email address associated with your Upskilo account, with the subject Upskilo account deletion request. You can also use Contact or your signed-in support tickets to request deletion. Include your account email and say whether you want the whole account deleted or particular data removed. Do not send your password.

We may verify account ownership before acting. Deleting your account removes access to its learning history, certificates and purchased content. We will explain any unresolved payment, subscription or record-retention issue that affects the request. Uninstalling the Android app does not delete your account or cancel an active subscription. You may also request correction or a copy of your personal information using the same contact details.

Children and young users

Upskilo's career, instructor and marketplace services are not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact admin@upskilo.com so we can investigate and address it. Do not provide another person's information without authority to do so.

International processing and policy changes

Hosting and third-party service providers may process information in countries other than your own. This policy may be updated as the service changes; the effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the service where appropriate.
